Artists who have painted Durham
幾個世紀以來,許多著名藝術家都畫過達勒姆
James Mallard WIiliam Turner
Above and below are two more of Turners watercolours of Durham I just love Turner and how even before the impressionists created that blurred impressionist style. Turner was able to create that impressionist style as seen in the scene above where we can see faintly in the middle of the picture Framwellgate bridge and it's reflection and the cathedral and castle have no definition, maybe it is a rough watercolour sketch this is something he did a lot as he travelled with his sketch book, but can you see the impressionist style that Monet and his contemporiares developed it is here don't you think with the man who was born in Covent Garden .
JMW Turner
Born: 1775, Covent Garden, London
Died: 19 December 1851, Cheyne Walk, London
